Mr.David Henly gave a talk on “The Superconducting MAGLEV (SCMAGLEV) Train Project” on March 20th, 2019. The talk was presented at EJ’s provision in Laurel, MD.

Speaker Biography:

Since July 2016, Mr. David Henley has served as the Project Director at Baltimore Washington Rapid Rail. He is responsible for the deployment of the new Baltimore to Washington segment of the high-speed super conducting Maglev train in the Northeast Corridor (TNEM). David brings three decades of experience in various aspects of transportation management and financing – from managing multi-billion-dollar capital programs to implementing a range of high profile infrastructure projects.
Prior to TNEM, for 12 years, Mr. Henley was Vice President of Capital Planning & Budget for NYC Transit (NYCT), directing investment strategies in the scoping, designing, building and rehabilitating of NYCT’s vast and complex rail and bus infrastructure.
Previous to that, he served as the Director of Business Development at Parsons Transportation Group, managing the company’s strategies to increase its portfolio and market presence in all transportation sectors. Mr. Henley has held senior level transportation-related positions with the NYC Department of Transportation, the Economic Development Corporation and the Department of Ports and Trade.
